Jennifer Rowland

Jennifer has been a postdoctoral research fellow in the Finlay lab since September 2014. She currently investigates epigenetic changes in host cells induced by Salmonella infection. Jennifer received a Bachelor Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in Bacteriology. After graduating she worked for almost three years in the lab of Dr. Robert Landick  studying bacterial transcription regulation. Jennifer then moved south to the University of Alabama at Birmingham to study copper resistance mechanisms of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Jennifer completed doctoral research in the lab of Dr. Michael Niederweis in 2014.

Interesting facts: Jennifer enjoys running (even in the rain) and has renewed her interest in skiing since moving to Vancouver.
